It has been an amazing 48 hours in Sun Peaks. Yesterday we had eight full length runs of giant slalom followed by a house cleaning party. At 3:30pm I jumped back on the lift with Johnny C, Heli (Swedish WC Coach), and 250 feet of snow making hose. It was my introduction to the “Canadian Water Party” and boy was it wet! First the snow cat when down the trail and opened up the surface. We followed with hoses and cranked up the snow making guns. After six hours of running the guns at full tilt it was time to close it all back up with the cat and let Mother Nature and her -18c temperature runs it course. The result this morning was nothing less than spectacular. ~ Dykster
