The 2011-12 Miele Cup FIS Series got underway Saturday at Norquay, AB, with an ENL slalom event.

On the men's side, Alberta Ski Team alumni Sean Alexander (CARC) and Cody Pedersen (BANFF) took first and third respectively; Ben Maclean of the BC Ski Team, who is just coming back from injury, claimed silver.

Emilie Tremblay (PANO) captured gold in the ladies race. She was joined on the podium by a pair of teammates from Fernie Alpine Ski Team, Stephanie Gartner and Jamie Honseberger, who snagged silver and bronze.
