Oh what a year it’s been… SNOW, SNOW, and more SNOW. Everywhere we seem to go we always tend to bring the snow. We arrived in Munich January 1st, 2012 to double digit temperatures and green pastures. During our first 48 hours of arrival Mother Nature unleashed her furry to what would amount to over two meters of new snow in the first ten days. Seven cancelled races and countless hours of driving later I was pulling my hair out and the boys were second guessing their decision of leaving their fat skis at home. Fast forward one month to racing in our own backyard: Red Mountain Miele Cup FIS SL & GS Feb 25-28th. Note to boys, “Please pack your fat skis, POV cameras, and if you have room you can bring trainer GS & SL skis.” Much to the boys delight we were met with 20+ cm’s of new snow and some of the best big mountain skiing that money can buy. DYKSTER: “Jono how are we going to train with all of this new snow?’ JONO: “Just give it a day or two. This place will grow on you and I am sure that it will be good for the boys as well.” READ FULL UPDATE FROM DYKSTER (Men's Team Head Coach) |
