Coast zone skiers show their skills at Alpine Athletic Champion U16 Challenge | BC Alpine Ski Association

The Coast Zone U16s took the challenge this past weekend in the first ever Alpine Athletic Champion U16 Challenge … and it was a huge success! Athletes from Whistler, Seymour, Cypress, Hemlock, Grouse and Mt Washington came together to test their fitness and athletic ability in some great athletic challenges!

Athletes were put through their paces in three different environmental challenges, gymnastic gym, gymnasium and field, each of the tests taxed the skier athletic abilities and fitness levels. So, are you a fit U16 skier? Maybe you can come out next year and prove it!

A huge thank-you to Jordan (WMSC) and Tamara (Grouse-Tyee) for putting this together and all the parents and coaches who volunteered to make the event run so smoothly. And how about the great prizes: wow, thanks to Skis and bikes, Uvex, Muscle Milk, POC and Dr Zipe!
