FIS Race – Men's Giant Slalom
BC Team athlete Dominic Unterberger from the Revelstoke Ski Club earned top-junior honours with a 5th place finish overall in a Quebec FIS GS Thursday. Teammate Brodie Seger of the Whistler Mountain Ski Club wasn't far behind in 7th.
"I am pretty happy with today", said Unterberger. "I had a good approach and put down two solid runs. Definitely going to take some confidence out of today and carry that through the rest of the weekend and the remainder of the season"
"Good point results for Dom (Unterberger) and Brodie (Seger) today." said men's coach Nick Cooper. "Blake (Ramsden) also put himself in a good spot, but unfortunately fell second run. All the guys are starting to figure out their approach on race day, and results are starting to come. We have an awesome hill and snow here in Bromont, so I am looking forward to the next three days of racing."
