PANORAMA MOUNTAIN VILLAGE (Dec. 17, 2014) – Tuesday's super-G results were added to Wednesday's single slalom run times, to complete the Nor-Am super combined event for the ladies at Panorama. Stefanie Fleckenstein (WMSC) was on fire again today and showed her strength as a multi-discipline athlete. Sitting 17th after yesterday's super-G she skied the slalom run of her life, coming 6th, for an overall super combined 8th place finish.
"It was really exciting getting back into the speed races this year," said Fleckenstein after another stellar competition. "My coaches had me confident and prepared for whatever came at me. I want to thank the awesome volunteers here in Pano. The races ran smoothly and quickly."
BC had another reason to be proud today. On the men's side former BC Team racer Ford Swette (CAST/WMSC) threw down two solid giant slalom runs to take the win.
