SKI RACING COMMUNITY LOSES A DEAR FRIEND AND VALUED SUPPORTER | BC Alpine Ski Association

It is with very heavy hearts that The Whistler Mountain Ski Club, BC Alpine, and Alpine Canada Alpin announce the passing of Stewart Swette, long-time skier, volunteer and parent of two BC ski racers.

Stewart, age 57, was on vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, with his wife Marilyn, when he passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2015.  

Stewart is survived by Marilyn and their two children; Ford, a member of the National Development Ski Team, and Rae, a Whistler Mountain Ski Club FIS athlete.

The entire ski racing family wishes to extend our most sincere condolences to the Swette family during these most difficult days. Stew, you will be greatly missed!

A Celebration of Life will take place on Wednesday, March 11 from 1 to 4 pm at the North Vancouver School District Building located at 2121 Lonsdale Avenue, North Vancouver, Penthouse Suite, 5th floor.
