Kimberley Alpine Team racer Ethan Blair wins GS and slalom GOLD at Lake Louise Western Championships
BC was well represented at the recent Fidelity U14/U16 Western Canadian Championships held at Lake Louise, Alberta, with teams from Kimberley, Cypress and Fernie in attendance.
Kimberley U16 racer Ethan Blair stood on the top podium step two days running, winning both the slalom and the GS. U14 athlete Alexander Katrusiak of the Whistler Mountain Ski Club finished 3rd overall in the GS, taking top honours among U14 men. Fernie's Linden Perz was the 3rd fastest U14 in the ladies' GS.
Also from the Kimberley Alpine Team, Katie Clark won gold in the ladies' U16 slalom competition, while teammate Emma Damm took second place in the U14 slalom race.
