To everyone who has been on this incredible journey with me:

After four years with the BC Ski Team, I have decided to pursue a post-secondary education at the University of Alaska, Anchorage, while competing on the NCAA and Nor-Am Circuits. I am thankful for this opportunity, which would not have been possible without the tireless support of many people. Throughout my journey, I have been shaped into the hard working, respectful, and ambitious person I am today; everyone along the way played a vital role in this. It was a privilege to be a part of the BC Ski Team; my coaches and teammates are all amazing, first-class individuals.

I feel that this season is the right time to move forward with my education. I am extremely excited to begin this new chapter in my life as a UAA Seawolf, and to have the opportunity to pursue my dream of working in the medical field.

Although I cannot begin to list everyone I wish to thank, a few in particular are: Bruce Goldsmid, Kathy Stahr, Keven Dubinsky, Justine Parent, and Gordie Bowles, their work and commitment is never ending; Nenad (Rossignol), for his unwaivering support; Coaches Mike, Gregor, JP, Helmut, Jazz, Nick and Johnny for believing in my ability and making me work harder than I thought I could; Andrew, for helping me rehab my leg and stay in shape; the Prince George Ski Club, where it all started; the many sponsors of the BC Ski Team, who made it all possible; my teammates, for making me smile and laugh every day; and finally, my parents, for supporting me every step of the way!

With all my heart, I thank you all!

Sincerely,

Alix Wells
Prince George
