Hemlock Ski Club hosts successful Rio Tinto NGSL U10 race Sunday Mar 6th

Hemlock Ski Club would like to thank Rio Tinto and Hemlock Resort for sponsoring the Coast Zone U10 race, and thanks also to the Coast Zone ski clubs and their parent volunteers for participating in the race on Sunday, March 6^th.

A total of 80 racers participated in the event from the Cypress, Grouse, Mount Seymour and Hemlock Ski Teams.

Both a 'glalom' course and an obstacle course (with a couple of 360 degree turns to teach the young racers how to hike around a gate) were set up for the athletes to test their skills. Both courses were timed and medals given out for each event.

Over 200 people were in attendance for the awards ceremony, which was held in the Hemlock day lodge – out of the blustery and dramatic weather. It was loads of fun for all!
