Selina Egloff of Switzerland notched her second straight victory in two minutes and 19.35 seconds over two runs. She was the super G winner on Thursday. Her compatriot Aline Hoepli took the silver in 2:20.58 and Hoshizaki followed for the bronze in 2:21.62.

‘’I skied a little bit better in the second run,’’ said Egloff, 15. ‘’The conditions were better in the second run and the snow didn’t give in so much.’’

Even though this was her second career appearance at the Whistler Cup, Hoshizaki was feeling nervous.

‘’After a while I got more comfortable and my racing followed through throughout the day,’’ said Hoshizaki, who skis for Nakiska Alpine Ski Association. ‘’This is a great event to introduce athletes from all over the world and find out where you stand internationally.’’

National U16 champion Alyssa Hill of Calgary was fourth in 2:22.34 and Cassidy Gray of Panorama, B.C., 10th in 2:24.22. OFFICIAL EVENT PHOTOS from Coast Mountain Photography
