confirm !! Conditions on the 'legendary' Palmer Snowfield glacier (at 8540 feet) are primo this year as you can see from this photo taken yesterday at Hood. The camp is open to all BC Alpine K2 and FIS athletes and strong K1 skiers (quite steep terrain). BC Alpine has arranged accomodation, tickets, salt and provincial integration plan. An outstanding sportmap primer was held Thursday July 25, 2002. Held mid-way through the week long B2B camp in Whistler, the primer included some 30 parents along with all the athletes and coaches. With a whopping 240 participants, it was the biggest sportmap primer held in BC to date. The agenda included nutrition, coaching, regeneration, sports psych, and planning. BC Alpine would like to thank PacificSport and LegaciesNow for hosting the SportMap Primer.

The educational SportMap Primer is being held Thursday July 25th, a day off for athletes and coaches. The week-long camp concludes Sunday.
In conjunction with the B2B Camp in Whistler, PacificSport and BC Alpine are hosting a SportMap Primer workshop on Wednesday July 25th (athlete day off) to educate the athletes and coaches on a range of elite sport information such as nutrition, dryland training, mental training, hydration, etc.
