Pack your bags, grab your clubs and head for the hills of Osoyoos as the Alpine Classic Invitational Golf Tournament is set for the Fairview Mountain Golf Course in the sunny Okanagan May 25-26, 2002. The $325 entry fee includes accommodation at the Plaza Royale in Osoyoos, Saturday dinner, Sunday buffet breakfast and BBQ, participation gifts, prizes, photos and two rounds of golf with shared power carts. The Spring AGM in Kamloops is only a couple of weeks away May 9-11, 2002 at the Coast Canadian Inn. BC Alpine has a block of rooms set aside with a May 1st release date. If you have not yet booked your accommodation, please call the Coast in Kamloops at (250) 372-5201.

Meeting Schedule:
Thursday May 9 – Coaches Meeting Day One.
Friday May 10 – Coaches Meeting Day Two.
Friday May 10 – BC Alpine Awards Dinner at Storms' Restaurant.
Saturday May 11 – Annual General Meeting.

Coaches meetings begin at 9:00 a.m. each day; registration at 8:30 a.m. AGM registration begins at 8:00 a.m. with the meeting at 8:30 a.m. Awards Dinner at Storms' is 6:30 p.m.

Approximate cost per day will be $20 which includes continental breakfast and lunch. The Awards Dinner at Storms' Friday May 10th is $22.00. See you in Kamloops!

Grasic Named to CAST Continental Cup Staff

BC ski team head coach Dusan Grasic has been named to the Canadian Alpine Ski Team coaching staff for the Continental Cup team. After seven years molding, shaping and forming the provincial ski team, Grasic heads to Calgary to head up Canada's Continental Cup Team. “He will be missed,” said Bruce Goldsmid, “but he will be a strong additional to the national team.”

Nancy-Jo O'Neill Joins BC Team as Women's Head Coach.

BC Alpine welcomes Nancy-Jo O'Neill as the new head coach of the women's BC ski team. One of the few Level IV coaches in Canada, O'Neill joins the BC team after coaching the men's provincial team in Ontario. A native of Fernie, O'Neill returns home with plenty of experience and coaching success.
