ARE, Sweden (Mon. March 13, 2017) – Georgian Peaks Ski Club racer Ali Nullmeyer put down a race to remember Monday, claiming a silver medal at the World Junior World Ski Championships in Are, Sweden, a mere 0.09 seconds behind winner Camille Rast of Switzerland.

The 18-year-old continues a strong showing for the Canadian contingent at the world juniors. The Canadians captured gold in the team event on Sunday with Jack Crawford, Jeffrey Read, Stef Fleckstein and Nullmeyer beating out Austria for the impressive win. Belgium beat out Germany for the bronze.

The Canadian group was on a roll all week, with Jack Crawford, of the Whistler Mountain Ski Club, finishing just off the podium twice when posted the fourth best times in both the men’s downhill and giant slalom.

Sam Mulligan, a former Vancouver Ski Team and Grouse Tyee racer, also finished fourth, this time in the men’s super-G, while Jeffery Read (Banff) posted an impressive four top-15 finishes.
