November 9th, 2016
Dear Rising Stars Athlete and Parents,
Due to unseasonably warm weather conditions, Panorama Mountain Resort is unable to host the scheduled 2016 Rising Stars camp November 19th – 27th, 2016.
The importance of this camp for both athlete and coach development is highly recognized and due to this we have decided to postpone until December 2nd – 9th, 2016. Panorama Mountain Resort expects hill operations to be ready for pre-season training on the 28th of November and we are confident by December 2nd, that we can host a successful camp.
Please see below important changes in relation to the new dates for the camp. Outside of the date changes, all other camp elements will remain the same i.e. transport details, arrival departure times, costs etc. presented in the original information document.
SCHEDULE

December 3rd – AM SG training, PM tech training
December 4th – AM SG training, PM tech training

We recognize that some athletes have already purchased tickets based upon the original dates and hope that a flight change is able to occur so these athletes can still participate in this camp.
We hope that you take advantage of this great opportunity to associate yourself with your peers and coaches at this new scheduled time and if you have further questions in relation to the 2016 Rising Stars program, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Regards,

This is an open Invitation to train beside the BC Ski Team. With the high cost of summer camps, and the readily available snow in May in Canada, the BC Team is changing it up this year. They won’t be traveling to Mt. Hood, but instead are headed to Sun Peaks to train in early May. The price is only $69 a day and that gets you a full day of training on OSV beside the BC Team.
The snow at this time of the year goes through a thaw / freeze, and has been traditionally excellent. Of course there is plenty of it this year as well! The hotels are on shoulder season and offer great rates. This is a perfect chance to get time on-snow at an excellent rate. Come get your work done early this year and then enjoy your summer getting fit. This is an excellent opportunity for all clubs and programs. KEEP READING FOR MORE DETAILS…
Organizer and Head Coach of SPAC, Montana, has this to say about it:
"We are hosting Spring Ski Camp at Sun Peaks Resort May 2-11, 2016. Join the BC Ski Team at Sun Peaks for spring training on OSV. Sun Peaks Resort will provide lane space and a lift ticket for $69.00 per day/per athlete. Accommodations are available between $35.00 -$40.00 per night/per athlete at various hotels (meal plans available upon request). This will be open exclusively for ski teams, and is open to any age groups within your club. Deadline to register your team is March 24. Contact SPAC Head Coach, Montana Molyneux at montana.skiis@gmail.com to book your space and ski alongside the Provincial Ski Team."
Camp runs from May 2-11. Book some or all of those days.
Annual spring Coaches meetings are happening in Kamloops at Hotel 540 starting 7:30AM April 27th. The Goldie Awards dinner will happen that night and meetings continue the next morning and finish by 4:30 pm.
Hotel 540 http://hotel540.ca/ is offering great rates and please book in the night of the 26th.
More details to come.
