IMPORTANT NOTE TO CLUBS: BC Alpine Program Fees have been updated

The implimentation of the new HST tax in British Columbia has lead to a lot of confusion and conflicting information from different groups.  We have recently received word from the HST Rulings Centre that we do not need in incorperate the HST into our program fees so have removed the tax and republished our pricing.

By popular demand we have also rounded the pennies on the programs to make everything as nice and simple as possible.

Up to date pricing can be found at the following link:

Also due to popular request, below is a graphic representation of the pricing of programs to help explain the new Alpine/SkiX model.

As always, any questions can be directed to Keven Dubinsky – KevenD@bcalpine.com or 604.678.3070

Alpine Canada extends Ski Cross FIS card registration deadline until Oct 15th

Alpine Canada is assisting in the transition of Ski Cross to Alpine by extending the registration dates for FIS licenses. They are allowing SX FIS cards to be sold at the July 1st rates until October 15th, 2010. FIS fees will remain at the July 1st price of $501.33 (HST included) until October 15th, 2010 after which they will return to $608 (HST included) as posted. ACA will wave the late fees during this period for FIS Ski Cross memberships only. This extension does not apply to FIS Alpine registrations. All other categories of membership remain as posted.

They will not allow for this grace period next season and so please be sure to inform members while registering that timelines next year will be strictly enforced. Ski Cross programs historically have registered in the fall at the summer prices when administered by Freestyle Canada. We have taken this into consideration for the 2010 registrations but we all need to work together so that registrations in 2011 follow the set timelines.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Upon registering into the BC Alpine Club Administration Database the registration price will not reflect the discounted rate.  The registrar needs to contact Keven Dubinsky upon registering the athlete in order to have the price discounted.

ADDITIONAL NOTE: The FIS registration package has been updated for SkiX.  If your package does not include SkiX please download the new one via the following link. http://bcalpine.com/filemanager/getfile/?FileID=62

BC Alpine Membership Fees updated to reflect BC’s Harmonized Sales Tax

Just a quick note here to make sure that all clubs are aware that all programs that are eligible for GST have been adjusted to the new HST.

This does not effect E or K level registration fees.

Some major changes were put in place to handle the upcoming modifications within our registration process.  Clubs registrars may have already noticed that a new category column showing up allowing for either Alpine or Ski Cross during registrations and renewals.

Some of these changes may effect some of the website reports and pages that we have.  We’re asking anyone who encounters unusual behavior on pages or any errors to please email information about them to kevend@bcalpine.com so that they can be repaired.

Thanks!
