First Credit Union & Insurance is hosting a contest for island non-profit and charity groups which will see one winner in each defined district awarded a cash prize of $10,000.00.  The method of winning is simple, the MWSC needs to receive the most ammount of votes online at the following page:

2010/11 Season F.I.S. Registration Paperwork now Available for Download

The 2010 – 2011 FIS registration package can be downloaded from our website at the following location:

Online registration for the 2009 – 2010 year is still in process until the end of April so you cannot register the new FIS members online until May 1, but it’s a good idea to get the FIS paperwork registration process started early so please be sure to circulate the link around to eligible members!

2010/11 BC Alpine Greenbook Photo Contest – Ship us the Best Shot to Win

How would you like to see your favourite photo on the cover of this year’s Greenbook?  If your photo receives the most votes, not only will you receive all the credit for a fabulous cover, but you will walk away with a brand new pair of BC Alpine Auclair leather ski gloves!

ASRPAPC Regional Engagement Workshop Notice – Multiple dates/locations

The Aboriginal Sports, Recreation and Physical Activity Partners Council is conducting 7 Regional Engagement Workshops across the province and is inviting Aboriginal sports, recreation, physical activity, and health leaders to attend and participate in a 2 Day planning workshop on the implementation of BC’s new Strategy for Aboriginal Sports, Recreation and Physical Activity.

The Workshops will be held in the following locations and dates:

Northeast Region
Fort St. John – TBD
Prince George May 6-7

Northwest Region
Terrace – April 19-20

Fraser Region
Chilliwack – April 26-27

Vancouver Coastal Region

Registration deadline approaching for the 2010 ACA Summit at Kananaskis

ALL REGISTRATIONS MUST BY IN BY APRIL 12th!

 

APRIL 19, 20, 21, 2010
Presented by Alpine Canada Alpin (ACA) and the Canadian Ski Coaches Federation (CSCF)

This year’s Summit will include sessions held "ON SNOW" with Alpine Canada Alpin National Team Coaches at Nakiska Ski Resort. They will also provide sessions and presentations on training, medical, rules and safety updates, new trends in the ski industry – these will be held at the Delta Lodge at Kananaskis.

BC Alpine will support our club coaches at the ACA Summit:

Early bird registration for the ACA Coaches Summit has now been extended to March 5, 2010.

The cost for early registration is $295. After March 5th the price of the Summit goes to $395.

For all active BC Alpine club coaches that attend the ACA Summit, BC Alpine will pay $200 toward the registration fee.

Coaches who register for the Summit should send in their registration fee, less $200, and BC Alpine will reconcile the balance of their registration cost.

We encourage as many coaches as possible to attend as there will be national and international experts on hand to share a wealth of useful information and knowledge.
