National Competitor Card Registration is due Dec 1 – Are you on the list?

BC Alpine will be exporting our list of registered National Competitor Card holders on December 1st to Alpine Canada Alpin to generate new national cards and re-activate cards from last season.  In order to be on this list you must be activated by your ski club in BC Alpine’s registration database.

Want to check if you’re on our list yet?  Check this URL:
http://bcalpine.com/members/?cg=5&cg=6&cg=3&cg=4&cg=8&2list=alphal&vlist=P&rYears=9

If you’re not on the list and feel that you should be, please contact your club.

Club’s unsure of how to activate members on the database should contact Keven Dubinsky at the BC Alpine office as soon as possible to avoid missing the registration deadline.

CWSAA (Canada West Ski Areas Association) All Area Passes 2009-10 Season

It is time to apply for All Area Passes, and the updated forms have been put online. Due to increased FIS numbers, BC Alpine will not be accepting application from anyone except for registered FIS athletes and their coaches. Both athletes and coaches must be registered on the BC Alpine Club Admin / Registration System in order for them to be accepted for All Area Passes, so make sure that the club registrar has them showing online. Yes, I did say coaches need to be registered too! Due to quota restrictions, some applications may not be successful.

Deadline for submission in to BC Alpine is October 17, so make sure you get the paperwork in to your club nice and early! You can verify your form has been received by the office by checking the All Area Pass Received List.

APPLICATION PROCESS:

Process for Applicants: Applicants should print off the All Area Pass Form and fill it out entirely. The completed form should be sent in to your club along a cheque for $480 made out to your club.  We ask this season that photos be submitted through our website at http://aap.bcalpine.com/ however we understand that some members may not be able to and ask that those members firmly attach two passport sized photos (with their names clearly printed on the back) to their paper application.

Process for Clubs: Clubs will receive all the All Area Pass Forms and verify that they are a registered FIS Athletes or full time traveling coach. The club will then send BC Alpine a completed All Area Pass Club Reconciliation form along with the individual All Area Pass Forms, and a single club cheque for the entire amount of the passes applied for, as well as the attached photos for those members that were unable to upload them online.

Last Chance to Update – Are your club contacts correct on our website?

BC Alpine clubs are requested to verify their contact details are up to date on our website. We will be using these contacts to populate the yellow pages section of our BC Alpine Greenbook which will be an offline compendium of who’s who and what’s what in Alpine Ski Racing for BC for the 2009-2010 season.

On September 4th we will be taking whatever is current for print, so please have it updated before then!

In order to see what your current contacts look like just visit the following webpage, and http://bcalpine.com/content/bcalpine/clubcontacts/

If you think that the contacts are not correct for your club, simply have someone at your club who has access to the BC Alpine Club Admin System log in and update them.
