Special Offer to Sun Peaks PGMC Cup Volunteers
On Feb 18,19, 20, 21 the Sun Peaks Alpine Club and Sun Peaks Resort are hosting the Pontiac Cup technical race series. This event will feature top-level athletes from across Canada and the USA racing slalom and giant slalom over the four days. We are still looking for volunteers to do set-up Feb. 10-17 and to work the race Feb18-21. For each day worked you will receive a voucher for one all area day pass at Sun Peaks to be used anytime this season. People with all skill levels from grunt to techie are needed. Not all positions require you to be on skis and skiers of all ability levels from beginner to expert can work this event.

Schedule;
Feb 10-13 set-up 5-10 volies per day
Feb 14-17 set-up 25-30 volies per day
Feb 18-21 race 60 volies per day
Feb 22-23 tear down 15-20 volies per day
Note from Alpine Canada regarding FIS Race Entries
Changes have been made to the race entry procedure this year. Please ensure this information is disseminated to all clubs, coaches and parents in order to ensure efficiency in our race entry procedure.
All race entries must come on an official FIS form a minimum of 2 weeks prior to start of event. Entries that flow through ACA must be sent to raceentries@canski.org.
Entries that flow through ACA are as follows:
1) Nor Am
2) PGMC Cup selection races
3) Juvenile, Junior and Senior National Races
4) Out of country
* These entries must come from PSO office to ACA.
Entries that flow through PSO’s are as follows:
1) Regional FIS
2) PGMC Cup non selection races
3) National point races
*These entries must come from PSO office to host PSO office.
