CWSAA (Canada West Ski Areas Association) All Area Passes 2006-2007

It is time to apply for All Area Passes, and the updated forms have been put online. Due to increased FIS numbers, BC Alpine will not be accepting application from anyone except for registered FIS athletes and their coaches. Both athletes and coaches must be registered on the BC Alpine Club Admin / Registration System in order for them to be accepted for All Area Passes, so make sure that the club registrar has them showing online. Yes, I did say coaches need to be registered too! Due to quota restrictions, some applications may not be successful.

APPLICATION PROCESS:
Applicants should print off the All Area Pass Form and fill it out entirely. The completed form should be sent in to your club along with two passport sized photos and a cheque for $480 made out to your club.
Clubs will receive all the All Area Pass Forms and verify that they are a registered FIS Athletes or full time traveling coach. The club will then send BC Alpine a completed All Area Pass Club Reconciliation form along with the individual All Area Pass Forms, photos, and a single club cheque for the entire amount of the passes applied for.

Deadline for submission in to BC Alpine is October 2, so make sure you get the paperwork in to your club nice and early!

You can verify your form has been received by the office by checking the All Area Pass Received List.

2006-2007 FIS Registration Deadline Important Note

It is important to note that the FIS registration deadlines are much earlier this year.  In order to make the early FIS registration deadline athletes must be registered by May 31.  This is two months earlier than our regular deadline.  Be sure to follow directions on the attached PDF file closely in order to ensure proper FIS registration for the 2006-2007 season.

Although we have a much earlier deadline for registration, the paperwork is actually not due in the BC Alpine office until August 20th. In order to get your athletes registered in time for the May 31 deadline, all that is required is that they are registered/re-registered through the BC Alpine online registration system.

All registrants entered into the online registration system by May 31, 2006 will be eligible for the $410 registration fee. They will then have until August 20th to have their paperwork in to the BC Alpine office (note, this does not mean postmarked by, but actually in the office by). Should the paperwork NOT be delivered to the office in time, the registrant will be assessed a late registration fee of $150 on top of the current registration fee. Although paperwork is not due at this deadline, a single club cheque along with list of athletes must be received at the BC Alpine office by June 10th or the registration(s) will be removed and re-entering the registration will fall into the next deadline’s registration cost.

If online registration is entered between June 1st and Aug 20th, the registration fee will be $460. All paperwork must still be in the BC Alpine office by the Aug 20th deadline in order to avoid a $100 late fee (for clarification, see Registration Package available at the link below). A single club cheque along with list of athletes must be received at the BC Alpine office by Aug 30th or the registration(s) will be removed and re-entering the registration will fall into the next deadline’s registration cost.

The online registration system is only available to the clubs (registrars) and online registration for the 2006-2007 season does not begin until May 10th. Individuals MUST register with their clubs directly and have the club add them to the BC Alpine database. Any registrant that attempts to register with BC Alpine directly by sending in their paperwork to us without first registering with their club will not be processed.

NOTE: ONLINE REGISTRATION CAN NOT START UNTIL MAY 10th.

WHISTLER PGMC NATIONALS LIVE RESULTS NOT UPDATING

We're sorry to have to announce that there has been an internet line connection problem in Whistler this morning and that because of this the timing shack is unable to stream live results. A potential solution is being worked out for the afternoon races, so check back later to see if the live results are working.
