Team traveling out of country for summer training? Important information

There have been a few changes to the process for requesting Certificates of CGL Insurance for teams traveling outside of Canada.

Venues generally require a Certificate of Commercial General Liability (CGL) insurance for your team when you are traveling to train. In order for out-of-country training to be covered under the ACA/CSA CGL insurance program, ACA and the CSA must approve all out of country training. This process requires a minimum 2 weeks’ notice for creation and delivery.  Please start the process as early as possible.

Please make sure to overview the document "2017-2018 – OVERVIEW – Out of country training insurance" found at http://bcalpine.com/files/Coaching_Files/Out_of_Country_Training/ and contact Keven Dubinsky (kevend@bcalpine.com or 604-678-3074) if you have any additional questions.

To start, I would like to recognize that the 2017 season saw the highest registration numbers BC Alpine has on record, with a total of 5,552 members active with us!  Good job to all the clubs out there!!

For the 2018 season, BC Alpine will be rolling over our database on June 10th and start accepting registrations from clubs needing insurance for summer training at that time.  Your current coverage for members ends on June 30th, so please be sure to have everyone participating in events (coaches and board members included) registered by then. Although no program costs have changed for the upcoming season, SAIP prices have increased. Please view http://bcalpine.com/programFees/ for more information.

IMPORTANT DEADLINE FOR FIS:
FIS members who need to be on the first list must have their registrations in and confirmed with Keven Dubinsky by JUNE 25 in order to make Alpine Canada's deadline to be active for first list without paying an additional $272 for immediate activation.

Insurance period ends June 30, 2018 registration season opens June 10

June 30th is the final date that CGL and SAIP insurance purchased during the 2016-2017 season is valid.  As of July 1st, all insurance including CGL and SAIP expire and need to be renewed for anyone participating in summer programs.

In order to make this transition easier BC Alpine will be cutting off our 2016-17 season's registration as of June 10th and starting to accept early registrations for the 2017-18 season.  Any clubs running summer programs should have their registrations in for both coaches and participants of the programs before they begin.

We anticipate no changes to registration prices for the upcoming season.
