June 30th is the final date that CGL and SAIP insurance purchased during the 2016-2017 season is valid. As of July 1st, all insurance including CGL and SAIP expire and need to be renewed for anyone participating in summer programs.
In order to make this transition easier BC Alpine will be cutting off our 2016-17 season's registration as of June 10th and starting to accept early registrations for the 2017-18 season. Any clubs running summer programs should have their registrations in for both coaches and participants of the programs before they begin.
We anticipate no changes to registration prices for the upcoming season.

ARE, Sweden (Mon. March 13, 2017) – Georgian Peaks Ski Club racer Ali Nullmeyer put down a race to remember Monday, claiming a silver medal at the World Junior World Ski Championships in Are, Sweden, a mere 0.09 seconds behind winner Camille Rast of Switzerland.

Sam Mulligan, a former Vancouver Ski Team and Grouse Tyee racer, also finished fourth, this time in the men’s super-G, while Jeffery Read (Banff) posted an impressive four top-15 finishes.

We have confirmed the fees for the season and published them at http://bcalpine.net/page/programFees
We are excited to announce that although there have been some slight increases to the Alpine Canada competitive and entry level programs, the general membership registration costs have come down by a considerable margin. This will make most registration costs for families nearly identical to previous seasons while reducing the cost for volunteers and adult members who do not have children in competitive programs!
Other changes include:
- The SAIP insurance pricing has been separated from the registration categories, allowing members to build the program/SAIP level that is correct for them. (NOTE: SAIP is still mandatory for all FIS programs!)
- Masters registration has been reduced to a single category and includes national card activation with registration.
