FIS Registration Process
The 2015-16 season registration package can be DOWNLOADED HERE. Please note the following important registration changes this season:

Athletes now must complete a new CCES Athlete Information and Declaration form. This also requires athletes to follow some online curriculum which is linked to on the form.

Canadian Card FIS athletes (with SAIP level 3 insurance) are no longer allowed any event or training days outside of Canada.

The deadline before prices go up has not yet been set for this season. Due to Canada West Ski Areas Association All Area Pass deadlines however, we suggest all athletes be registered by August 14th. Athletes registered after that date will not qualify for an All Area Pass.
Canada West Ski Areas Association All Area Pass
Prices for an AAP (includes GST) remain at $525 for athletes and $1050 for coaches this season. The CWSAA AAP application form process for the 2015-16 season can be found online at http://bcalpine.com/aap/ Please note that this form must be printed in colour and the original ink on paper version submitted else it will be rejected.
Deadline to be registered for a valid FIS program in order to qualify for CWSAA AAP submissions is August 14th.

Due to circumstances beyond the control of the ROC the location of the Keurig West Spring Series has changed to Panorama which will now be hosting it from the 6-9th of April with 2 Slalom and 2 Giant Slalom races on the schedule. An updated race notice will be posted soon.

Would you like to volunteer, on hill, for the 2015 Canada Winter Games in Prince George, BC? Alpine skiing is looking for skiers who are 15+ to come and volunteer for the Super G, GS, Slalom, and Ski Cross races taking place at Purden and Tabor Mountains from February 13th (training day) to 20th, 2015. The Super G, GS, and Slalom races will take place at Purden Mountain from February 14th to 18th, and the Ski Cross race will take place at Tabor Mountain on February 19th and 20th.
All of these events will be exciting to watch and will showcase the best 14 and 15 year old racers from across the country.

Just a reminder that our Officials Update is coming up on Nov 1 and Nov 2 in Kamloops. Please forward this article and invite anyone running races this year.
We will be starting mid day on Saturday and leaving mid day on Sunday. This should give everyone a fair amount of day light driving opportunity and give us a chance to catch up with everyone Saturday evening. The meetings will again be held at the Tournament Centre, and accomodation information will follow.
We will provide you with the latest from FIS, what's going on in the province, and lots of case studies. You will also get a chance to start twisiting arms to get support for your race events!
Please let me know if you are coming, as we are starting to work on all the logistics.

Below I am publishing an email directly from Alpine Canada regarding requests for Certificate of Insurance.
Good morning everyone,
As the season is approaching rapidly approaching, so are the influx of requests for certificates of insurance.
As a reminder a COI should only be requested and issued where a 3rd party such as a ski resort/area, school, gymnasium, sponsor wants proof that the club or event is insured and/or wants to be added to the policy as an additional insured. All clubs, club members of the NSO and activities that are calendared are covered – Unless the activity is unusual or not normal to the sport.
It is encouraged that a single COI cover all the 3rd party entities for a club, region or zone on the 1 certificate to avoid separate COI’s where ever possible. It is essential that the correct legal name and address for the entity who wants to be added is provided.
I have attached the document that is required to be filled out for all requests, it must also be noted that the document can be found on the Alpine Canada website for future reference.
I ask kindly that this memo is sent out to your respective clubs who are eligible to request the certificates of insurance so they are aware of the requirements moving forward.
